Signing Up for The Maritime Assistance Card
Thank you forchoosing to sign up and purchase Maritime Assistance Card and SSAS monitoring services. Using this secure online process willenable you to first sign up as a new user and then add Cover(either Maritime Assistance Card, SSAS monitoring or both) for selectedvessels. The process is straight forward and additional guidance pagesare placed before each section.
There are two steps to the Signing Up and Add Cover processes.
Step 1
Thisis a Signing Up form to complete for the authorized user ofthe account. Once completed you will be notified on screen and by emailof your user name and password and be automatically logged into youraccount for proceeding with Step 2 of the process.
Step 2
Thisis where you choose either Maritime Assistance Card or SSAS Monitoringservices or take advantage of the package discount for taking Cover forboth services. In this step you will be entering the detailsof thevessels you wish to add Cover for.
If you do not wish to completeStep 2 right after Step 1 you may log out and log back into youraccount at anytime in the future to add vessel cover.
You should keep your account username and password details in a safe place so that you can manage your account in the future.
ACCOUNT LIMITS
InStep 2 of the Add Cover process you will be asked to provide a spendinglimit on your account and the contact details for when authorisation isrequired to exceed the limit. This is designed so that if a vessel withCover requires additional services or in depth research, satellitecalls, advice or consultancy the duty Maritime Assistance CenterOperator will be able to continue with any actions up to the limit youset. You may choose to set the limit at what ever level you wish butbear in mind that a low limit will require the duty Operator to makecontact with your nominated authority anytime day or night and coulddelay the delivery of any services until such authority is given.
MANAGING YOUR ACCOUNT
Your username and password allows you to manage your account anytime online. Logging into it via www.securewest.com you may;
- Change any Account Administration details
- Change your password (to manage your online account)
- AddColleagues in the office who you would like also be able to manage theAccount.(Please note Adding Colleagues does not issue them withMaritime Assistance Cards)
- Order Replacement Vessel cards should a vessel's card be lost.
- Orderadditional Officer or Company Cards. If you have other offices andco-workers around the world you may wish for them to have a MaritimeAssistance Card. Please note that there is no cost to order more cards- we are pleased to provide these free of charge to fully registeredusers with vessel cover.
A WORD ABOUT INTERNET SECURITY
Wetake the security of your details and vessel details very seriously.TheMaritime Assistance Card area of the Securewest International websiteis secured with our own SSL security certificate. This ensures allinformation passed in transit is encrypted andsecured. Information you are asked to provide is onlyused for the Maritime Assistance Center duty Operators to manageincidents, calls or alerts.
THE PRICES
Thecost of both the Maritime Assistance Card and SSAS monitoring has beenmade as affordable as possible. From just $60 per month per vessel youhave access to a wealth of knowledge and resources anytime, day ornight. For total peace of mind SSAS monitoring can be included.

Payment for vessel fleets up to 20 vessels can be made securely online at the end of Step 2 ofthe process using Visa, Mastercard or Discover creditcards or American Express cards. Existing Securewest Internationalaccount holders have the option of billing to their SecurewestInternational account.
