Ship Security Alert System and LRIT

An Approved SSAS Management Service:

24/7/365 Management from Securewest International

Securewest International, a world leader in maritime security, offers a dedicated and flag state approved, SSAS management and monitoring service.

Monitored by qualified ISPS trained security specialists  based in our Maritime Assistance Center, through a variety of communications methods, Securewest International manages and monitors SSAS systems supplied by most manufacturers.

The Securewest International SSAS management service is approved by many Administrations including the Marshall Islands, Liberia and United Kingdom Coastguard Agency (MCA). This service meets the Competent Authority Requirements of SOLAS 1974 XI-2 6.2.1

The service provides a single point of immediate human contact with the vessel's SSAS hardware and owner or operating company in the event of an alert with secure verification of every alert received. Unlike entrusting the notification procedure to a fully automated system that can only contact pre-set destinations, direct human involvement ensures responsive, 'intelligent' monitoring and notification always takes place. In addition, if additional client resources need to be contacted as a result of the initial client contact, this can be immediately actioned and progressed by the Maritime Assistance Center.

Securewest International works with the major SSAS equipment manufactuers including Purple Finder, SARS, Transas and many others. It should be noted that this service does not have to replace your current Communication Service Provider.

SSAS Annex Drafting and Approval Assistance

As part of the complete security service provision from Securewest International the drafting of SSAS Annexes is an additional service  available.

The SSAS Annex is an enclosure to the Vessel Security Plan with restricted access, providing information for USCG field officers, vessel owners and operators with SSAS specifics. The SSAS Annex also provides a guide to ensure compliance with the requirements of SOLAS Regulation XI-2/6 and is increasingly used and accepted by other Administrations.

For further information on SSAS Annexes, SSAS monitoring services or any other Regulatory Compliance issue please contact your nearest Securewest International office or email info@securewest.com

Fleet SSAS Consolidation

As owner's fleets have changed with new builds and vessel changes, many companies have found themselves working with many different types of SSAS hardware throughout the fleet.

In partnership with SARS Inc, Securewest International offers a SSAS Fleet consolidation service that enables assets to be managed and tracked through one CSP and web interface. In addition, the long range data from vessel's satellite systems can be displayed using SARS Intellitrax service, with short range AIS data, providing total maritime domain awareness. If required other assets can also be tracked and displayed including individual shipments, aircraft, in fact anything that a satellite system can be fixed to.

Management prices start at just $60 per vessel per month, with volume rates for fleets of twenty or more vessels. To find out more, please contact your nearest Securewest International office.
