Introduction

Securewest International is almost unique in the exclusive use of trained and qualified security assessors who assess, prepare and write the Security Assessments and Security Plans for each individual ship, yacht, vessel or facility. Each Security Plan is a hand crafted document that accurately reflects the security requirements for each individual facility or vessel using the specific information collated by the security assessor.

Ship Security Assessments

Taking a flexible approach, Securewest International conducts security assessments for ships, vessels, offshore platforms and yachts around the world. With a strategic network of offices, assessors can be deployed from the most convenient location to the client¹s  vessel saving valuable time and travel cost.

Ship Assessments present their own challenges in coordinating assessment visits with busy shipping schedules. Understanding that owners require minimum disruption, Securewest International is unique in offering assessments whilst a vessel is underway. On voyages of sufficient length crew training or drafting of the final Ship Security Plan can also be accomplished saving valuable time and expense.

It should be noted that all vessels require an Assessment. The ISPS regulations do not recognise sister vessels as being identical in any way and therefore each vessel does require a full Ship Security Assessment.

Ship Security Plans

The Company¹s approach is to introduce a Security Plan based on a security risk assessment which is specific to each vessel and which is practical and not unnecessarily cumbersome, unlike many other implementation documents. The final Security Plan is much more than a simple templated or standard security plan produced by software. Securewest International¹s approach is to take all security risks seriously and using qualified security assessors, produce a plan that realistically addresses the security requirements of every individual vessel.
