The Securewest International Global Response Centre (GRC) recorded 7 maritime related incidents during the reporting period of 29 November – 5 December 2022.
The following incidents were recorded:
- 29-NOV-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 18 Cuban migrants arrive in the Cayman Islands.
- 29-NOV-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – French authorities rescue 61 migrants from the English Channel.
- 30-NOV-22 – Drugs Interdiction – Pakistan Navy seizes drugs in Arabian Sea.
- 30-NOV-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – Multiple migrant landings in Key West, Florida.
- 30-NOV-22 – Drugs Interdiction – 5.6 tonnes of cocaine seized in Valencia, Spain.
- 02-DEC-22 – Drugs Interdiction – Underway bulk carrier boarded by armed persons in Singapore Strait.
- 03-DEC-22 – Migrant and Refugee Incident – 79 Haitian migrants intercepted in sailboat in Lake Worth, Florida.
Key:
 Migrant and Refugee Incident:Â This could involve Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, or information about a boat capsizing and people drowning, or an attack on the group. |
 Drugs Interdiction:Â Focused on interrupting illegal drugs smuggled by sea, usually a large number of drugs are seized. |
