The Securewest International Maritime Assistance Centre (MAC) recorded 19 maritime-related incidents during the reporting period of 07 April – 13 April 2026. The following incidents were recorded:
- 07-APR-26 Drug Interdiction – 2046 kilograms of cocaine seized in the eastern Pacific Ocean / Colombian coast.
- 07-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – Two suspected migrant smugglers arrested in Samos, Greece.
- 07-APR-26 Attack – Container vessel QINGDAO STAR hit by unknown projectile 25nm south of Kish Island, Iran.
- 07-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 137 migrants intercepted in the English Channel.
- 07-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – Migrant vessel capsizes in the Mediterranean Sea.
- 08-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 159 migrants intercepted in the English Channel.
- 08-APR-26 Attack – Merchant vessel damaged in UAV attack on the port of Izmail, Ukraine.
- 08-APR-26 Drug Interdiction – 270 kilograms of narcotics seized in the port of Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, Japan.
- 08-APR-26 Maritime Information Advisory – Fire breaks out on cargo ship RDJ WAALSTROOM in the English Channel.
- 09-APR-26 Robbery – Underway bulk carrier LOWLANDS ISLAND robbed in the Singapore Strait 3nm off Pulau Cula.
- 09-APR-26 Robbery – Attempted robbery on yacht in Rodney Bay Marina, St. Lucia.
- 09-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 25 migrants and one smuggling suspect apprehended off the coast of Aydin, Turkey.
- 09-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – Migrant boat capsizes in the English Channel near Boulogne, France.
- 09-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 74 migrants intercepted in the English Channel.
- 09-APR-26 Pirate Attack Group – Hijacked dhow being used as suspected PAG mothership off Bargal, Somalia.
- 10-APR-26 Robbery – Yacht robbed near witch’s Tit Lagoon, St. Martin (France).
- 12-APR-26 Robbery – Robbery reported on yacht in Linton Bay, Panama.
- 12-APR-26 Approach – Sailing vessel approached 54nm SW of Al Hudaydah, Yemen.
- 13-APR-26 Maritime Information Advisory – Maritime access restrictions on Iranian ports and coastal areas.
