The Securewest International Maritime Assistance Centre (MAC) recorded 31 maritime-related incidents during the reporting period of 08 – 14 September 2026. The following incidents were recorded:
- 08-SEP-26 Attack – Tanker targeted in Russian missile attack at Chornomorsk, Ukraine.
- 08-SEP-26 Drugs Interdiction – Almost 1.16 tonnes of ketamine intercepted off Vietnam.
- 08-SEP-26 Attack – Underway Russian cargo vessel LADY MARIIA attacked near Crete, Greece.
- 08-SEP-26 General Security Warning – Underway sanctioned tanker NEREIDA intercepted in the Gulf of Aden.
- 08-SEP-26 Attack – Zimbabwe-flagged tanker impacted by US forces following military interaction near the Strait of Hormuz.
- 08-SEP-26 Maritime Information Advisory – Multiple vessels subject to disabling fire in the North Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.
- 09-SEP-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 37 Migrants intercepted off the coast of İzmir, Turkey.
- 09-SEP-26 Attack – Crude oil tanker struck by unknown projectile, 28 NM southeast of Al-Faw, Iraq.
- 09-SEP-26 Attack – Reported sighting of a vessel listing while at anchor, northwest of Port Rashid, UAE.
- 09-SEP-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 78 migrants rescued in Maltese SAR zone, Mediterranean Sea.
- 09-SEP-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 30 Migrants intercepted off the coast of Izmir.
- 10-SEP-26 Pirate Attack Group – Cargo vessel attacked by PAG near Al Mukalla, Yemen.

- 10-SEP-26 Drugs Interdiction – 71 kilos of cannabis intercepted in Nigeria.

- 10-SEP-26 Drugs Interdiction – Over 40 kilos of methamphetamine intercepted in the Port of Tauranga, New Zealand.
- 10-SEP-26 Attack – Two unidentified merchant vessels attacked in the Strait of Hormuz.
- 11-SEP-26 Attack – Two dry cargo vessels attacked by Russian UAVs at Chornomorsk, Ukraine.
- 11-SEP-26 Drugs Interdiction – Suspected drug smuggling support vessel intercepted in Eastern Pacific Ocean.
- 11-SEP-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 44 migrants apprehended off the coast of Izmir, Turkey.
- 12-SEP-26 Attack – Vessel struck by unknown projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
- 12-SEP-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 48 migrants apprehended off the coast of Mugla, Turkey.
- 13-SEP-26 Attack – Oil tanker EL GAIA set ablaze following mine strike in the Strait of Hormuz.
