The Securewest International Maritime Assistance Centre (MAC) recorded 21 maritime-related incidents during the reporting period of 21 April – 27 April 2026. The following incidents were recorded:
- 21-APR-26 Stowaways – Search and Rescue deployed as stowaways jump from container off the coast of Cape Town.
- 22-APR-26 Drugs Interdiction – Approximately one tonne of jettisoned cocaine recovered off Setúbal, Portugal.
- 22-APR-26 Attack – Container ship fired upon by IRGC gunboat 15nm northeast of Oman, Strait of Hormuz.
- 22-APR-26 Attack – MSC FRANCESCA hit in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran.
- 22-APR-26 Hijacking – Possible hijacking off the coast of Hafun, Somalia.
- 22-APR-26 Attack – Cargo ship fired upon in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran.
- 23-APR-26 Drugs Interdiction – U.S. Coast Guard offload over 1.1 tonnes of seized drugs in Miami, Florida.
- 23-APR-26 Robbery – Attempted robbery of a dinghy in Saint Lucia, Caribbean Sea.
- 23-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 23 migrants rescued off the coast of Izmir, Turkey.
- 23-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – Locked dinghy robbed in Saint Martin.
- 23-APR-26 Suspicious Approach – Underway cargo vessel ELFRIEDE approached by armed persons off the coast of Eyl, Somalia.
- 23-APR-26 Boarding – US forces board vessel M/T MAJESTIC X in the Indian Ocean.
- 23-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – At least 17 Somali migrants died of the coast of Algeria.
- 24-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 24 migrants and two smuggling suspects intercepted off the coast of Mugla, Turkey.
- 24-APR-26 Robbery – Fuel siphoned from dinghy in Isla Providencia, Colombia.
- 24-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – Charity ship rescued 47 migrants stuck on Mediterranean oil rig.
- 25-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 122 migrants intercepted in the English Channel.
- 25-APR-26 Robbery – Dinghy stolen from marina in Village Cay Marina, Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
- 25-APR-26 Hijacking – Unidentified tanker hijacked 45nm NE of Mareeyo, Somalia.
- 26-APR-26 Hijacking – Cargo vessel hijacked NE of Garacad, Somalia.
- 26-APR-26 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 127 Migrants intercepted in the English Channel.
