The Securewest International Maritime Assistance Centre (MAC) recorded 16 maritime related incidents during the reporting period of 29 July – 04 August 2025. The following incidents were recorded:
- 29-JUL-25 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 149 migrants intercepted in the English Channel.
- 29-JUL-25 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 88 migrants rescued off the coast of Mugla, Turkey.
- 29-JUL-25 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 18 migrants rescued off the coast of Aydin, Turkey.
- 29-JUL-25 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 40 Migrants apprehended off the coast of Izmir, Turkey.
- 29-JUL-25 Drug Interdiction – 1.5 tonnes of cocaine seized from a vessel off the Dominican Republic
- 30-JUL-25 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 3 Migrants apprehended off the coast of Mugla, Turkey.
- 30-JUL-25 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 898 migrants intercepted in the English Channel.
- 30-JUL-25 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 22 Migrants apprehended off the coast of Izmir, Turkey.
- 31-JUL-25 Drug Interdiction – Drugs seized in Watchet harbour, UK.
- 31-JUL-25 Drug Interdiction – $73 million worth of cocaine offloaded in Florida, USA.
- 31-JUL-25 Robbery – Theft from dinghy at Carriacou – Tyrrel Bay, Grenada.
- 01-AUG-25 Robbery – Dinghy stolen at Chaguaramas anchorage Trinidad and Tobago.
- 02-AUG-25 Robbery – Theft from a yacht at Eagle Beach, Aruba.
- 03-AUG-25 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 40 migrants detained off Aydin, Turkey.
- 03-AUG-25 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 83 migrants rescued and detained off Izmir, Turkey. 03-AUG-25 Migrant & Refugee Incident – 54 migrants die when boat sinks off the coast of Yemen.
