Weekly Maritime Summary 27 July – 2 August 2020

The Securewest International Global Response Centre (GRC) recorded three maritime related incidents during the reporting period of 27 July – 2 August 2020.

Maritime Weekly Incidents

  • 28-JUL-20 – Robbery – at 10:00 UTC, a bulk carrier was robbed whist at Macapa Anchorage No. 2, Brazil in position 00 02 36 N, 050 59 08 W.
  • 29-JUL-20 – Robbery – at 03:10 UTC, a drifting Bulk Carrier, was boarded by two armed robbers in position 18 35 09 N, 072 27 02 W, approximately 6nm NW of Port Au Prince, Haiti.
  • 30-JUL-20 – Migrant and Refugee – More than 200 migrants have crossed the English Channel in 20 boats in a single day.
