What are the Risk Ratings of the Top Study Abroad Destinations of 2024?

Choosing to embark on a study abroad adventure in 2024 offers an excellent opportunity to explore the world whilst maintaining academic progress. However, it’s essential to stay mindful of potential risks associated with studying in a foreign country. According to reports, the global number of students engaged in overseas studies reached 5 million in 2021 and is projected to increase to 8 million by 2025. Universities bear a responsibility for the well-being of their students, both domestic and international. This legal duty mandates that universities undertake reasonable measures to safeguard the health, safety and overall welfare of their students. It is imperative for universities to ensure that individuals embarking on journeys have thoroughly assessed potential risks and necessary precautions are implemented.

Go Overseas has curated a list highlighting some of the top study abroad destinations for 2024. In identifying these destinations, Go Overseas considered a range of factors, including the area’s historical significance, cost of living and average salaries, available activities and the diversity of programmes offered in that location. In this article, we will explore each destination, examining their respective risk profiles. All the information provided is sourced from our SPHERE Travel Risk Management Platform and App.
